Why the pH Matters

Healthy skin sits at around pH 5.5, slightly acidic. Most ordinary soaps are alkaline, which is why skin can feel tight and squeaky after washing. That tight feeling is the barrier being stripped, not cleanliness.

This cleanser is formulated to match that 5.5 mark. It cleans without pushing the skin out of its natural range, and the mild acidity helps the barrier hold up against outside irritation rather than leaving it exposed.

What Is In It

The formula carries 23 percent chamomile flower extract, which is where the moisturising and soothing side comes from. It also contains blue calma azulene, the ingredient that runs through the whole Sante line and gives it its character.

It is hypoallergenic and made for sensitive skin, and it holds the moisture and oil balance rather than drying the face out in the process of cleaning it.

The 50ml is the size to try first, or to keep in a bag. The 500ml is a bulk bottle, and at that size it works for the whole family. It is gentle enough for children as well as adults, and it can be used on the body as well as the face.
