Azulene runs through every Sante product, but this one carries the most of it. That is the reason the ampoule exists and the reason it costs what it does.

The concentration is 1,000 ppm guaiazulene. That is also where the deep purple colour comes from. There is no added colouring in it, which is worth knowing because a purple skincare product usually means dye.

The Colour Tells You Something

Once the bottle has been open for a while, the colour shifts. That change is normal and it is a useful sign. Artificial pigment would hold its colour indefinitely. Natural azulene does not.

So a bottle that has changed shade has not gone wrong. It is behaving the way an uncoloured formula behaves.

What Else Is In It

Salicornia herbacea extract, a natural moisturiser, and eleven types of hyaluronic acid. Between them they hydrate dry skin and help regulate the oil and water balance rather than pushing it in one direction.

How to Use Something This Concentrated

An ampoule is not a moisturiser and it is not meant to be used by the handful. A few drops pressed into clean skin is the whole application.

It goes on after the Azulene Soother Mist and before anything heavier. If you want to seal it in, follow with the Azuline Soother Gel or a few drops of the Elsol Boosting Oil.
