What a Liquid Formula Gives You

A liquid foundation spreads thinner than a cream or a stick, so it settles into the skin rather than sitting on top of it. That is why it tends to look most like skin when it is blended properly.

It is also the format that gives you the most control. One thin layer reads as evened out skin. A second layer over the areas that need it gives you cover without making the whole face look heavy.

The Four Shades

• Cleanse your face and apply moisturizer.
• In the daytime, apply sunscreen and let it set for a few minutes.
• Shake the foundation bottle well before use.
• Take a small amount and blend outward, cheeks to forehead to chin.
• If using a sponge, use a slightly damp sponge and gently tap for a more natural finish.
• If you need more coverage, apply a thin second layer instead of using too much product at once.
• Blend well, especially around the sides of the nose, around the mouth and along the jawline.
• For the most accurate match, test the shade from the jawline down toward the neck. Testing on the hand often leads to the wrong shade.
