Cut a small opening first. You can always widen it, but you cannot make it narrower again, and a wide opening gives you thick lines you did not want.

Getting a Clean Design

Wash and dry your hands first. Any oil or lotion on the skin will lift the paste as it dries.

Hold the cone slightly above the skin rather than dragging the tip along it. Letting the paste fall into place gives a smoother, more even line than pushing it.

Start at the fingertips and work down toward the wrist. Working the other way means resting your hand on designs that have not dried yet.

Leave it to dry properly before you touch anything. The longer it stays on, the deeper the colour comes out.
